FROSDOT - An open source of legal templates and easy contract drafting. Drafted by lawyers. Free to use. Free of charge.
A frustrating aspect of getting started with trading on the internet is making sure you have the legals right. FROSDOT means “free and open source document templates” , and we’re working with lawyers around the world to create legal document templates that are easy and free to use. We want to leverage the same dynamics that make free and open source software so powerful to the same thing for legal documents.
We’ve started with a suite of documents to make it easier to start selling services on the Web, particularly if you are using web monetisation technology like Interledger Protocol interledger.org.
As with all open source material, we don’t guarantee that these documents are bug-free and are going to be exactly right for you. But they will hopefully be a useful place to start. And if you do have suggestions to improve them, or want to join our community, please contact us at info@frosdot.com, or join our community on git.law
QUICK START:
- To take a look at some examples of the document suites, you can download English law templates for supply of services | privacy policy | FAQ
- To use our automated contract builder click here
- And to look our code click here: git.law

A place to find freely available contracts, legal documents and guidance notes, aimed particularly at anyone setting up a website selling content and services over the internet. Getting started: get a raw contract template.
We are always looking to expand the scope and depth of code offerings, so if you want to introduce more documents, translate or localise documents into your own language or country, please do so! However, like almost all open source projects, we do have some requirements before we accept any code. Aside from (obviously) checking that it does what we want, and works properly, we will ask you to complete our Apache-style contributor license agreement.
How can I get the documents I need?
You can download the raw documents here, or you can use our document assembly tool here.
